CBD use in the UK is growing at an unprecedented rate, but which city has been the quickest to take cannabidiol to its heart? Perhaps not surprising, given its passion for all things alternative, Brighton has been revealed to be the top spot for CBD fans. Closely following in its wake are Liverpool (the CBD capital of the north!) and Plymouth.
These stats were found by analysing Google Trends to see where CBD was searched for the most, in research by Greyhound Chromatography.
What was perhaps most surprising was that London – where numerous CBD bars, cafes, facials and even fitness classes have sprung up over recent months – ranked at just 22 out of 32 cities. Although the researchers have suggested that perhaps that’s because savvy Londoners already know the top places to buy and consume CBD, so don’t need to rely on a search engine. Around six million adults in the UK have tried CBD, with a whopping 11 per cent rise in consumption over the last year. With an increase in the range of products and stockists available, it looks like 2020 is guaranteed to see even more growth, wherever you call home.
