Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans has revealed that he uses CBD oil for pain relief.
The flame-haired British star, who is also a TV presenter, opened up about using cannabidiol on his popular Breakfast Show.
Revealing that he first decided to use the oil to help him sleep, Chris said that he woke up to find that the pain he had been experiencing in his shoulder for years had diminished.
“This morning, nothing. Nothing at all,” he said after using the oil.
Telling his listeners that he decided to use CBD to help him sleep, Chris said: “I slept extremely, exceptionally deeply and this is one of the claims for cannabis oil.”
Explaining that CBD isn’t “psychogenic”, Chris told his listeners: ““You can buy it legally now in Britain in Lloyd’s Pharmacy, for example.”
Opening up about his “stiff right shoulder”, Chris said: “I always have a dodgy right shoulder and I’ve never talked about it before. It’s not a big deal but I do.”
Saying that it’s so stiff that he can “barely move it in the mornings”, Chris revealed that it usually starts to ease a little once he’s done his morning exercises.
“I have to do all these exercises back and fort including windmills. Then I get on the motorbike and, because that’s the hand you turn the accelerator with on your handlebars, I can feel it all the way in.”
However, the morning after using CBD, Chris revealed: “I can’t believe it. It’s not clicking or anything.”
Chris added that he’s had the pain “every day for three years, every morning, no matter where we are in the world or what time of day I get up, I could barely move my shoulder.”
Urging his listeners to “go out there” and “investigate” the potential benefits of CBD, Chris said: “It’s part of this thing called micro-dosing. It may well be the future.”
