With CBD being lauded for helping with everything from chronic pain and inflammation to anxiety and depression, it’s no wonder it’s making its mark on the food and drink industry. Nowhere is the new health trend more apparent than in London, where café culture is at its best and the selection of coffees, cakes and cocktails featuring CBD is beyond compare. Here’s our round up of the best places to get your cannabidiol fix…
Glow Bar, Mortimer Street
A one-stop wellness shop, Glow Bar sells a range of wellness products, has a state-of-the-art infrared sauna and serves a delicious CBD croissant containing a pistachio frangipane filling. Enjoy the treat, made using 5mg of the oil, with a CBD Moon Milk. Available hot or cold, the Golden Moon Milk is a mix of CBD and Wunder Workshop’s Golden Mylk – delicious and relaxing to boot.
Plant Hub, Hackney
Plants rule at Hackney eatery Plant Hub. Everything is organic, plant-based and free from gluten and refined sugar, while many of its delicious snacks and treats include CBD oil. Enjoy CBD-infused granola bars, banana bread and a coconut-flavoured CBD biscuit topped with hemp caramel and chocolate ganache.
Feel Good Café, Chingford
The ultimate pitstop for CBD fans, The Feel Good Cafe loves the oil so much it makes its own. Take a bottle home or add it to anything on the menu for £1. At the East London eatery you can enjoy it in coffee, juices, porridge, their buckwheat and banana American pancakes or drizzled over a Buddha bowl, filled with raw veggies, hummus, chickpeas and seeds.
Farmacy Kitchen, Notting Hill
Farmacy Kitchen was the first London restaurant to serve CBD and they’re doing it in style. Presented on a three-tier stand decorated with foliage, their plant-based high tea features CBD treats aplenty – kicking off with the R&R cocktail, with vanilla vodka, raspberries and CBD oil, you’ll also enjoy CBD chocolate and hazelnut truffles and a pot of hemp leaf tea. If you’re in the mood for shots, don’t miss the O.M.G – with CBD, flaxseed oil and grapefruit.
Mortimer House Kitchen, Fitzrovia
Set in a six-storey Art Deco building, Mortimer House Kitchen serves up deliciously Instagrammable breakfast, brunch, dinner and lunch. However, it’s the coffee menu we’re here for. Spice up your usual flat white or cappuccino with a shot of turmeric CBD oil for an additional quid. Two of nature’s anti-inflammatories, your latte never looked so good!
Mr Fogg’s House Of Botanicals, Fitzrovia
Imagine yourself surrounded by exotic flora and fauna, sipping a delicious CBD-infused cocktail while gazing out onto the bustling capital below. High above the streets of London sits Mr Fogg’s House Of Botanicals. Pull up a chair as the botanists create the “smoky, aromatic, healthy” Bhang cocktail, £14, made with CBD oil-washed Alipús San Juan mezcal, Green Chartreuse herbal liqueur, Acqua di Cedro liqueur, fresh lime and tarragon.
