Good news for CBD fans in Manchester – a new bar has just opened in the Northern Quarter. Hemp, on Tib Street, specialises in cannabidiol-infused cocktails, beers and even coffee, making it the perfect afternoon or night out for CBD enthusiasts.
The hip hot spot opened a few weeks ago, and is aiming for a laid back, Amsterdam vibe.
Tempting cocktails include Smoky Joe and – cryptically – one called Scary Jane, which are flavoured with hemp-infused alcohol (known for its earthy flavour) and cost from £7.50 – £10.
“We’re trying to keep the prices on a level with the area,” Hemp’s co-founder Ryan Whelan told the Manchester Evening News. “But CBD just adds an extra something to your drink – some people like to relax with a glass of wine and if you have a CBD-infused drink it’s definitely going to give you that extra bit of relaxation.
“It’s Manchester’s first Amsterdam-style cafe but obviously with no illegal substances. It was a natural progression from a vape shop, which don’t have the space. This venue’s the perfect size for a CBD cafe and the perfect location. It’s funky round here.”
Games consoles make it even easier for guests to relax with a drink. And for those who aren’t keen on drinking their CBD, there are also vapes and distillables on site too.
Manchester already has several businesses specialising in CBD, including coffee shops, but Hemp marks the first CBD-themed bar in the city.
